1. Overview
The MBA for BBA Graduates program is a post graduate program for the professionals to enhance knowledge and capacity of an individual for effective and efficient management and business practice. The emphasis is to upgrade knowledge and ability to perform business management and operational activities with creative judgment by understanding business and organizational circumstances. The core of this program is to ensure quality and competitiveness in performing professional activities. A unique educational approach is integrated with this program to grip better understanding of business thoughts. This is an integrated program with different concentration to prepare with necessary conceptual, practical and work variety skills so that potential corporate professionals can work in their specialized areas as well as understand other organizational activities. Within the shortest possible time along with professional work load, students can acquire real knowledge and subsequently they will be capable to apply these in the practical work of life. The graduates will be well equipped to work efficiently and enthusiastically under dynamic business environment with diverse cultural people by taking additional responsibilities.

The MBA for BBA Graduates program in the Army Institute of Business Administration (AIBA), Sylhet is a one-year program consisting of two semesters; each has the duration of six months and consists of 18 weeks classes, 01 week preparatory leave, 03 weeks semester final examination, 04 weeks result publication and semester break. |

6. Assessment and Evaluation
The performance of a student in a given course will be based on continuous assessment and course final examinations. Marks distribution for a course can be as follows:
Midterm Examination : 20%
Semester Final Examination : 50%
Class Test/Weekly Test and Quizzes : 12 %
Assignments/Class Participation (Individual Presentation) : 05%
Term Paper/ Project Work (Group Presentation) : 05%
Class Attendance : 05%
Attitudes, Manner and Conduct :03%
The continuous assessment may consist of class tests, attendance, seminars/presentations/viva-voce, assignments, completion of projects, and midterm examinations. The mentioned criteria to assess a student will be justified by individual course teacher and he/she may set his own assessment criteria. But individual course teachers are not allowed to be very far (i.e. distortion of greater than 10% of total marks in each section) from the guideline. Each course teacher should provide course outline mentioning the assessment and evaluation process within the first week of class.
7. Degree Completion Requirements
Degree Requirements for MBA for BBA Graduates are –
- Completion of 48 credits.
- Passing of all courses individually with at least D grade.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 or above.
8. Miscellaneous
- The registration for MBA for BBA Graduates is valid for 3 years after the date of registration.
- After successful completion of the program, a student will be awarded a certificate showing the CGPA and a transcript showing details of grades obtained in two semesters.
- The AIBA, Sylhet authority will resolve any other points not mentioned in this document. Application for admission implies agreeing to abide by all rules and regulations of the AIBA, Sylhet and also future decisions of the AIBA, Sylhet in consultation with BUP, IOC & COE office.
